Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I currently work part-time three evenings a week from 5:00–9:00 p.m., with alternating weekend shifts, which leaves me with plenty of daytime availability for walks and drop-in visits. On workdays, I'm able to provide care before and after my shifts, and on my days off I have a flexible schedule to accommodate your pet's needs. I always strive to maintain each pet's normal routine and provide consistent, attentive care.

About Sarah C.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I'm caring for my own pets in my home or client's pets in their home, my priority is always their safety, comfort, and well-being. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs so I can provide individualized care. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any household rules provided by the owner. With my background in clinical animal care and experience working in a Fear Free veterinary clinic, I'm trained to recognize changes in a pet's behavior or health and to handle animals calmly and safely, especially those who may be anxious or stressed. I maintain a clean environment, ensure pets always have access to fresh water, provide plenty of enrichment and affection, and keep owners updated with regular photos and messages for added peace of mind. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

Information Sarah C. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine and personality. Important information includes their feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, allergies or medical conditions, favorite activities, and any fears or behavioral quirks. I also appreciate knowing how they interact with other people and animals, any house rules you'd like followed, and your veterinarian's contact information in case of an emergency. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide consistent, personalized care that helps your pet feel comfortable and remain stress-free.

A typical day

A typical day starts with making sure each pet is comfortable and sticking to their normal routine. I'll provide fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, and plenty of love and attention throughout the day. Depending on the pet's needs, we'll go for walks, play with their favorite toys, practice basic commands or enrichment games, and enjoy cuddle time if they like affection. I'll also make sure they get enough rest, keep their space clean, and send regular photo and video updates so you can see how they're doing. My goal is to keep your pet happy, active, and relaxed while you're away.

Cat care experience

I've had cats in my family for as long as I can remember, and caring for them throughout every stage of their lives has given me a deep understanding of their needs. As my own cats have aged, I've gained firsthand experience supporting them through chronic health conditions and senior care. In addition to my clinical experience, my oldest cat is diabetic, which has given me extensive hands-on experience managing more complex medical needs. I'm comfortable monitoring behavior for signs of illness or emergency, performing blood glucose tests, administering insulin injections, giving oral medications, and providing bladder expressions when needed. I also work in a Fear Free veterinary clinic, where I've been trained to handle stressed and anxious cats as safely and gently as possible, helping reduce fear and anxiety during care. Beyond medical support, I'm happy to clean litter boxes, keep your cat's environment tidy, provide enrichment and playtime, and, of course, give plenty of affection. My goal is to ensure every cat feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away.

Sarah took care of my senior cat while we were on vacation for 2 weeks. My cat is diabetic and needs injection and special care. Sarah kept my cat Alice happy, well feed and properly medicated. I was very happy how Sarah took care of my fur baby!
